How Did I Start in Music?
Â
I began as a bass guitar player, touring internationally and performing to crowds of up to 30,000 people a night.
I’ve played at venues like Brixton Academy and Madison Square Garden, gaining first-hand experience of live performance at the highest level.
Â
Â
How Did I Get Into Ableton Live?
Â
I first used Ableton Live to expand my live rig beyond bass playing.
That curiosity turned into a career as an Ableton tech for artists such as Years & Years, Melanie C, and Sam Fender.
Â
Â
What Industry Work Have I Done?
Â
I’ve been a playback tech for FOX primetime TV shows Name That Tune and Don’t Forget the Lyrics.
In those roles, reliability and preparation were non-negotiable — failure simply wasn’t an option.
This is where I developed tested workflows, efficient setups, and backup systems I now teach to students.
Â
Â
Where Have I Taught?
Â
I’ve spent over a decade teaching at the UK’s leading music universities:
-
ACM
-
WaterBear
-
NHAM
-
ICMP
-
BIMM
I’ve taught thousands of producers, from complete beginners to working professionals.
I often created the course content students loved, even if my name wasn’t always on it.
Â
Â
Why Did I Create Push Patterns?
Â
I saw too many students leave traditional courses still feeling:
-
Overwhelmed by Ableton Live.
-
Unsure how to finish tracks.
-
Lacking the confidence to perform live.
The issue wasn’t talent — it was training that wasn’t built for real-world use. Too much theory, not enough structure.
Push Patterns exists to fix that.
Â
Â
What is Push Patterns?
Â
Push Patterns is structured, no-nonsense training for Ableton Live and Push 3.
It’s built for producers who want results fast without endless trial and error.
Everything I teach is grounded in workflows I’ve used for:
-
World tours.
-
Major label artists.

Primetime TV shows.
No gatekeeping. No academic fluff. Just practical, tested methods.
Â

Â
