About Craig Lowe | Ableton Educator, Producer and Playback Engineer
Hey, I am Craig Lowe. I have spent more than a decade working in both performance and education as a playback engineer for major artists, arena tours, and television, and as a lecturer at leading UK music universities.
My background includes building and managing Ableton rigs for artists such as Sam Fender, Years and Years, and Melanie C, and working on live TV productions like FOX’s Name That Tune and Don’t Forget The Lyrics.
"I started, like many of my students, sitting in a home studio feeling overwhelmed by technology. Over time, I built structured, practical systems that take the stress out of making and performing music. That is what I now teach.
As a teacher, I have helped thousands of producers and performers make music confidently in Ableton Live and Push 3 through my teaching, courses, and Push Patterns YouTube channel."

Teaching style
My approach is simple, structured, and grounded in real-world experience. I do not use jargon or hype. I teach the same way I work, calmly, clearly, and with a focus on what actually matters when making or performing music.
Every lesson is about clarity and action:
> Understand what you are doing
> Know why it works
> Build habits that last
My students often say my courses finally make sense. That is the goal: to turn confusion into confidence.

My courses
Each course I teach is built around a clear, structured system that helps producers learn efficiently and perform confidently.
Ableton Live 12 Course – Learn a complete workflow from blank session to finished track using my Play, Create and Master approach.
Push 3 Simplified – Understand Push 3 as a true instrument. Build patterns, perform live, and make music without the overwhelm.
The SAFE System (coming soon) – A proven framework for preparing, testing, and performing live with confidence and control.
All my courses are real-world tested and focused on clarity, reliability, and creativity, not theory for theory’s sake.
Why my courses are different
Built on experience, not speculation. Everything I teach has been tested on real stages and in professional environments.
Focused on process, not features. I teach producers how to think, not just where to click.
Structured for results. Each course follows a clear process designed to eliminate confusion.
Professional mindset. My goal is to help producers act, sound, and think like professionals with confidence and calm.
You will not find endless tutorials or sales talk, just practical systems that work.
My beliefs about learning music production
Learning Ableton Live does not have to be hard. Most people overcomplicate it. Once you understand how it actually works, everything becomes simple and enjoyable.
Music production is a skill, not a mystery. You do not need fancy gear or years of theory. You just need a clear structure and time to practise.
Simplicity always wins. Complicated setups and plugin chains do not make better music. Clarity does.
Creativity needs structure. When your workflow is organised, ideas come faster and you stay inspired.
Teaching should be human. Good teaching is about clarity, not showing off. It is about making things click, one small step at a time.
I have learned what works through years of teaching and troubleshooting in the real world. My job is to pass that on so you do not have to struggle through the same confusion.
Mission and Purpose
My mission is to help producers and performers take the stress and uncertainty out of music production and performance. I teach musicians how to:
> Use Ableton Live and Push 3 with clarity and purpose
> Build reliable setups they can trust in the studio and on stage
> Develop structured workflows that make creativity effortless
I want producers to feel proud walking into their studio or onto the stage, knowing their setup is solid, their process is clear, and their only job is to create.
